Sweet Sue

An acccount by the author of his solo voyage in a Thames rowing skiff from London to Oostende. The voyage began at St Katherine's Dock in London on Sunday 3 June 1979 at 8am (GMT) and ended at Oostende harbour on Friday 8 June at 18.25 (GMT). The author comments on the people he met and the places he visited including Whistable, Broadstairs, Ramsgate, Dover, Calais, Nieuport and Oostende. The voyage was never without interest and events including being sunk off Calais harbour.
