Storm clouds over Chantel2002

When she overhears a conversation among her greedy stepmother, jealous stepsister, and her fiance, Chantel is stricken with fear. In pursuit of her inheritance, they plan to have her committed to an institution for the insane. A picture in an old trunk inspires Chantel to flee Boston for her grandfather's ranch in Wyoming Territory. Wild as it is in the 1880's, she'll be safer there than in her own home. Brandon Morgan of the ranch that adjoins Charles Evans' Triangle C despises Chantel before he ever meets her. He considers her a vulture, come to cash in on the Evans holdings now that her grandfather has been badly wounded -- and her plans to run the ranch after Charles dies don't change his opinion.
