More than a summer's love

A summer at Subic Bay -- a dream come true or an incredible nightmare testing her to the limit? Stacey Stamford has entertained a ten-year-long dream--to meet the young Filipina whom she has sponsored through a children's fund organization since both were fourteen years old. Now, in conjunction with her studies toward a master's degree in Social Work, Stacey will at last see Maila Corales after years of correspondence. She does not, however, reckon on Commander Eric Farrington, an American naval officer stationed at Manila's Subic Bay. Falling in love with Eric would be the easiest thing in the world to do, but Stacey must consider Maila, who also loves him and credits him with her rise from poverty, her chance for a fulfilling life, and, most importantly, her faith in God!
