This is the comprehensive Eastern United States and South Eastern Canada bird guide from the turn of the century. There are over 100 pages of general ornithology concepts before looking at individual species. There are: beautiful color illustrations by Louis Agassiz Fuertes, black and white photographs, line drawings, and color maps (in later additions). Primarily focusing on bird identification, there is also information on bird behavior and biology.
