Anxiety disorders in African Americans

This volume addresses a traditionally neglected area of mental health care concerning published clinical research on anxiety in African Americans. Following an introductory governmental perspective on mental health from Congressman Major Owens, the expert contributors focus on diagnostic, epidemiological, and cultural factors in anxiety disorders. Specific topics that are related to anxiety disorders are addressed as well as behavioral and pharmacological treatments.
