Consists of 6409 single-issue and other short-lived Russian publications filmed from the holding of the Saltykov-Shchedrin State Public Library (now the National Library of Russia) in a chronological arrangement, covering nearly every facet of Soviet life from the first year of the Russian Revolution almost to the start of the Gorbachev era.
