Anticipation

Helen, a scientist mourning her husband, takes her young son to Greece for a much-needed escape. In the ruined city of Mystras, they encounter Elias, a mysterious guide who seems to exist outside of time. Helen soon discovers that her research into a hereditary disease is linked to a centuries-old prophecy involving Elias and a noble family desperate for a cure. The story is a high-stakes, "time-slip" thriller that explores the ethics of science, the persistence of history, and the lengths a mother will go to protect her child.
