In Click! Graham captures the essence of over ninety of the most intriguing and compelling artistic personalities of the last decade. Reg Graham's splendid black and white portraits give us a fascinating and intimate glimpse into the characters of his subjects: artists, writers, poets and actors. His gallery includes a Rembrandt-like photograph of artist Ralph Hotere, a striking image of sculptor Bing Dawe, a private moment with writer Janet Frame, a powerful portrait of actor Rima Te Wiata. Graham prefers to photograph people in a context that is familiar and important to them, in natural light and with as little photographic gear between his subject and the camera as possible. Each portrait is accompanied by a short comment from the photographer.
