Contains the papers originally prepared by scholars from the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe for the 6th Congrès international d'archéologie slave, which was scheduled to be held in Prilep, Macedonia in 1990 but was postponed due to the political situation. These scholars (from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Poland and Czechoslovakia) subsequently presented their papers at a conference held in 1991 in Pskov, Russia.
