The book "History of Poland, 1864-2001" chronologically presents the most important events in the history of Poland from 1864 to 2001: the Polish society's battle about the reconstruction of their own nation (1864-1918); the rebirth of the Polish Republic (1918-1939); World War II (1939-1945); subordination from USSR (1945-1989); and the period of political transformation from socialism to capitalism (1989-2001).
