The book comprises articles published by noted art critic in the magazines Veja and Isto , between the decades of 1970 and 1980 after he returned to Brazil from his political exile in Argentina. The critical texts analyze different political and aesthetic aspects of close to 80 exhibitions, although "It is not, therefore, an in-depth analysis of each exhibition, it is the record of what, in my view, was the most significant art exhibited in galleries and museums at that time."
