Yalla

This political zine focuses on the conflict between Palestine and Israel and is full of historical background, interviews, first person accounts, photographs, essays by contributors, and collages. Andalusia used Israel's Birthright trip, a paid trip to Israel for people of Jewish heritage, to visit Israel and Palestine, and she writes about the brainwashing that occurred during the trip, the division between Israelis and Palestinians, and the confusion she faced from people who didn't identify her as Arabic but perceived her as being sympathetic with Palestinians. Also included is a long list of books and articles about the conflict. Basil writes about the Israeli soldiers that are stationed in Palestinian towns, and visits the Gaza strip. She also writes about the trouble she has at border crossings, and interviews an Israeli soldier.
