Episteme der Romantik

For their 25th anniversary, the "Gesellschaft für Volkskunde in Rheinland-Pfalz" at the Museum of the town of Alzey hosted a history of science meeting, the results of which are summarized in this volume. The main idea is a renewed confrontation with the era of romanticism which is related to the development of folklore studies as well as to society as a whole. The venue of the event promoted the idea to discuss past society traits, individual scientists and the reception of romantic ideas.
