The book studies peculiarities of shamanism among the Evenkis of Siberia and the Far East in the late 19th 20th centuries. The main attention is paid to researching the shaman's world-view, rituals, personality, tent (chum), ritual costume, musical instruments, attributes and cult objects. For the first time so vast data from the archives of material and photographic collections of the Russian Museum of Ethnography are brought into scientific circulations. In addition, the author's field information obtained in the course of expeditions to the Evenkis of Yakutia in the 1980-1990s is also used. The publication is intended for experts in the field of ethnography, as well as for all those who are interested in the culture of Eastern Siberia and the Far East.
