"James B. Austin, a steel industry executive with a passion for Japanese prints, donated his extensive collection to Carnegie Museum of Art in 1989. His gift included more than 1,000 modern prints whose diverse themes, styles, and techniques mirror the dramatic transformations in Japanese life and culture in the twentieth century.
