Story based on Megilat Evah: When a greedy usurer's business is threatened by the arrival of strong-willed rabbi Yom Ṭov Lipman Heller--the "Tosfos̀ Yom Ṭov--in Prague, he slanders the rabbi's book Maʻadane melekh before the emperor Ferdinand of Vienna; the rabbi is providentially saved, but banished from the city, and the usurer falls ill.
