Youth Bible Studies from Matthew using contemporary music - with accompanying 10-track CD. These devotional sessions provide an opportunity to listen on two levels - to focus your mind on listening to Jesus through his word while also listening to contemporary music. This book contains two sets of sessions. There are 10 devotional sessions written for young people. These will work best when done alone and in a relaxed environment. There are also 10 sessions for youth leaders to use in group sessions, which are intended to follow up the individual studies. Many young people struggle with the discipline of having a regular 'quiet time', not because it's time with God, but because the traditional model of silent prayer and a scripture portion is alien to them. The approach used here tries to bring God's word to life through sound, not silence. This book ties together Bible study, prayer and contemplation in a youth-friendly format. It uses some fantastic contemporary Christian music, a youth translation of the Bible and plenty of innovative ideas.
