The Howard sisters--Jane, Alice, and Louise--are having the time of their lives. Winter is over, but it's not quite spring in Acorn Hill, a close-knit community tucked away in the Pennsylvania countryside. The weather leaves Jane unsettled and ready for a challenge (which she embarks on, with surprising results). Alice is courted by a persistent admirer, while Louise becomes the confidante of a guest who is facing a personal crisis. Not to mention that Grace Chapel Inn (and the town) are hosting a rather imperious heiress!
