Al Hasp and Norm Carpenter are partners in a successful Orange County private investigation firm. When Norm, considered the brains of the outfit, announces he has become a born-again Christian and will be resigning, Al asks him to take one final case. It means going undercover in the organization of televangelist and faith healer Vincent Majors. Al believes Majors is a phony and then Majors' son-in-law, a pro basketball coach, is murdered.
