Origen was considered one of the most important church fathers and his works were used widely in the Church. His work On Prayer was written around 230 AD. In it Origen talks about the object of prayer, the necessity of prayer, and the advantage of prayer. Heends the book with an exegesis of the Lord's Prayer.
