Joan Logghe's series of poems works like a small novel to reveal the life of an Hispanic Catholic woman with Sephardic Jewish roots. These poems "came" to the author from that place where inspiration and collective memory converge. Burning with compassionate candlelight, Logghe's admired imagery weaves a delicate narrative of strength and appreciation. The series draws on stories and lives of actual women, the author's own life in the Espanola Valley for twenty-five years, and is dedicated to the Goddess of Wisdom alive in every woman.
