Burn Basket

A tale of hope to be found among the ashes of a California wildfire. This is a story for youth affected by wildfires. It is about evacuations, return, and the recovery of landscapes and a young girl that goes on adventures with an uncle. Along the way they find burned landscapes and homes, ancient surviving redwoods, bow drills, dance, music, and abundance from the Earth in the aftermath of a devastating fire. It's more than a book. Each chapter has a drawing with clues that lead to a video. The videos are short musical interludes of the doodle creations found in the book.
