"The archaeological excavations at 1 Poultry included burials associated with the medieval church of St Benet Sherehog, and a post-Great Fire burial ground on the same location, which served the combined parishes of St Benet and St Stephen Walbrook until 1853. This volume presents the evidence for 280 burials found in the burial ground. The parish of St Benet Sherehog before and after the Great Fire is considered in terms of the documented population, their occupations, wealth, health, and mortality.
