Pru lands her dream job: head gardener at rambling old Primrose House in Sussex. Only to find that it’s no bed of roses. Pru’s tasked with restoring the wild estate back to its original glory. But the motley team of helpers may need taming first. And someone seems determined to be a thorn in her side. But small acts of vandalism around the garden soon turn to murder. Local widower and gardening enthusiast Ned Bobbins was supposed to be pruning the yew trees. Instead he’s the one who got the chop. Pru checks her tool shed — and discovers her trusty hatchet is missing. When it surfaces again, wrapped in a red jacket, the police immediately point the finger at another one of Pru’s band of misfits. But Pru’s not convinced. She knows her team is a bit unruly, but surely none of them are capable of murder. Can she catch the killer before anyone else comes under the ax?
