Nowhere is safe. I slipped through the City’s net, but they won’t underestimate me again. My first baby dragons are bouncing around the nursery. But there’s no such thing as maternity leave when the world’s fate is in my hands. This castle is the safest place for my firstborns… unless the Dragonkeep falls again. I might have won my battle in the City, but now the war is coming to my home. Villagers from my lands have sought refuge behind the castle walls, as have the feral dragons I freed from the City. Keeping them all safe is up to me and my five dragon mates, and I'll have to rule the very elements to defend the keep. King Emil has sent a whole army. There's only six of us.
