Nothing has gone right for Mary since her parents were forced to sell their farm. Alone and desperate, she seizes a chance to return. Although the home she once loved is now a rundown shack and the once prosperous farm is little more than weeds and dirt, she knows she can make it work. She certainly doesn’t need any help from the huge, grumpy red alien who keeps showing up on her doorstep. Borgaz lost everything in the war - everything except his loyalty to his friend and former commander. Even if that means helping the other male establish a sanctuary for former soldiers in a farm community in the middle of nowhere. He knows his damage is past healing, so when a beautiful and annoyingly independent female arrives, he has every intention of keeping his distance. But even though she refuses to admit it, the stubborn little female clearly needs his help. As they work together to repair Mary’s farm, will they also end up repairing their own past wounds?
