Biography
Alvin Schwartz was a prolific American author and comic book writer best known for scripting ***Superman*** and ***Batman*** newspaper strips and comic books during the 1940s and 50s. A recipient of the 2006 Bill Finger Award, he also wrote existentialist novels, including ***The Blowtop***, and authored the metaphysical memoir ***An Unlikely Prophet***.
