Biography
M. Caitlin Fisher-Reid, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Biological Sciences at Bridgewater State University, Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Dr. Fisher-Reid earned her BS degree at Brandeis University, Waltham, Massachusetts. She then went to Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, New York, where she received her Ph.D.
Dr. Fisher-Reid is a broadly trained evolutionary biologist. Her research lab focuses on three major projects: (1) population genetics and habitat preferences in amphibians, (2) local adaptation and ecological interactions in plants and their fungal symbionts, and (3) the abundance and diversity of mammals in southeastern Massachusetts. She teaches Biology major courses in ecology and evolutionary biology, including upper level electives in evolutionary medicine, animal behavior, and molecular ecology.
