Biography
Sam Savitt and horses have been inseparable practically all of his life. He has written numerous books about horses in all fields, from rodeo to the Maryland Hunt cup Race. His illustrations have appeared in *Sports Illustrated, True, Boys' Life*, and other national magazines, as well as in over ninety books. His drawings and paintings of horses have been recognised as some of the finest in the United States.
Pennsylvania-born Sam Savitt and his wife now lifer on a small farm in North Salem, New york. His favorite pastime—when away from his drawing board—is riding and schooling horses.
