Biography
Dr. Sabine Lang studied ethnology, ancient American studies, and prehistory and early history in Tübingen and Hamburg, and received her doctorate in ethnology in 1990. An English-language edition of her dissertation was published by University of Texas Press in 1998 under the title *Men as Women, Women as Men: Changing Gender in Native American Cultures.* Her area of expertise is the indigenous cultures of North and Central America.
