Biography
David G. Rowlands (b. 1941), a biochemist by profession, has had many excellent horror and ghost stories published over the past twenty years, and is a regular contributor to Haunted Library publications and the *Holly Bough,* a Christmas magazine published by the *Cork Examiner*.
Father O'Connor, a Catholic priest with a keen interest in the supernatural, is featured in many of his best stories, including Rowlands' 1981 collection *Eye Hath Not Seen*, which contains six 'supernatural anecdotes from the reminiscences of Father O'Connor'.
[from *Tales of Witchcraft*, edited by Richard Dalby (1994)]
Among his other interests are railways, campanology, and western movies, all of which - even the last - he has managed to incorporate into Father O'Connor stories from time to time. He is also the author of several non-fiction books, including *The Tralee and Dingle Railway* (1977).
[from *Ghosts and Scholars : Ghost Stories in the Tradition of M.R. James* edited by Richard Dalby and Rosemary Pardoe (1989)]
