Every commission ships with a signed Audiobook Production & License Agreement. This page is the summary; the signed agreement in your delivery packet is the binding document.
Once your commission is paid in full, the finished audiobook master is assigned to you as a work made for hire. The files are yours. There is no license term, no reversion to negotiate, and no exclusivity. You can sell, stream, and broadcast the production worldwide, on any platform, forever.
Lex charges a one-time production fee. We take no royalty share, no revenue split, and no cut of anything you earn from the audiobook afterward.
The narration is generated under paid commercial licenses Lex holds with its voice-technology providers, and the output carries full commercial use rights, which we convey to you. The music and sound effects come from the Epidemic Sound catalog, licensed to you directly under Epidemic Sound End-User Terms through Lex’s partner agreement. Lex warrants these licenses are valid and indemnifies you against third-party claims arising from the materials Lex sources.
Music and sound effects are licensed as synchronized inside your production. You may distribute the finished audiobook anywhere audiobooks are customarily sold, but you may not extract or reuse an individual track or effect outside the production. On request, Lex will also safelist your YouTube channel so the embedded music does not trigger Content ID claims.
You may not use the production to train, clone, or derive a voice model, and you may not represent the synthesized narration as a recording of a real person. AI-narration disclosure rules vary by store; your delivery packet includes a per-platform disclosure sheet.
Lex does not use your manuscript, the production, or your notes to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model, and does not authorize its providers to do so, without your separate written consent.
